Powerball has gone 36 drawings without a jackpot winner, and this run is growing faster than the one that ended with a $1.04 billion win in August.
After 35 drawings, the advertised jackpot stood at $793 million going into the Nov. 2 drawing (it finished at $804 million after final sales). At the same point in the summer run, on July 20, 2026, it was $544 million.
| Drawing in the run | Summer run (started May 2) | Current run (started Aug. 15) |
|---|---|---|
| Draw 1 | $20M (May 2) | $20M (Aug 15) |
| Draw 10 | $131M (May 23) | $173M (Sep 5) |
| Draw 20 | $269M (Jun 15) | $389M (Sep 28) |
| Draw 30 | $434M (Jul 8) | $635M (Oct 21) |
| Draw 35 | $544M (Jul 20) | $793M (Nov 2) |
Why it might be growing faster
Bigger jackpots draw more players, and more ticket sales grow the next jackpot faster. Since July 22, players in the United Kingdom have also been able to enter Powerball drawings, and their tickets feed the same jackpot pool. That probably helps, but we can’t say how much.
What it means for players
Nothing about the odds changes: each play still has a 1 in 292,201,338 chance at the jackpot, however long the run. The jackpot for Wednesday, Nov. 4, is an estimated $835 million.
