35 drawings without a jackpot winner
The jackpot has rolled over 36 straight times since it reset to $20 million on Aug. 15. That reset came after a single ticket sold in Illinois won $1.04 billion on Aug. 12 (our report).
Monday’s jackpot finished at an estimated $804 million after final ticket sales. If Wednesday’s $835 million is won, it would be the 10th-largest jackpot in Powerball history. Jackpots grow faster as they get bigger because more people buy tickets.
When is the next drawing?
Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 10:59 p.m. ET. Ticket sales usually close one to two hours earlier, depending on the state.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9.
